The President of the United States, Donald Trump, on Wednesday insisted that U.S. strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities obliterated the country nuclear programme.

Trump, who is in The Hague for the NATO summit, attacked U.S. media outlets, especially CNN, MSNBC, and the New York Time.

This comes amid ealier leaked report by the Pentagon’s Defense Intelligence Agency that US strikes over the weekend only set Iran’s nuclear programme back “a few months”.

When reporters asked Trump about the leakex report, he said they “really don’t know” but maintained that the sites was “totally obliterated”.

He also said the strikes set the programme back decades and believed that it was the strikes that ended the war.

The US President said the United States and Iran can have a good relationship, saying what the Middle Eastern country wants right now is to rebuild and not enrich.

“I think basically decades. I think they’ve had it, they just went through hell… the last thing they want to do is enrich.

“That hit ended the war,” the Presodent saod.

Trump described Israel-Iran war as “two kids in a school yard”.

“Let them fight like hell for two or three minutes and then it’s easy to stop them,” he said.

He also said a deal to end the war in Gaza is also close.

“Even before this I think we were very close to making a deal on Gaza; I think this helped,” he added.
