The collapse of a massive advertising billboard has left many passengers injured and others feared dead after crashing down on several tricycles in Abia State.
According to the Punch Newspaper, the tragic incident happened on Wednesday afternoon at the Salad Market junction near the GIA Event Centre in Aba, the state capital.
Briefly.ng learnt that the billboard collapsed without giving a warning sign and that downpour and violent winds also contributed to it.
While the exact numbers of casualties cannot be confirmed at this time, emergency responders and locals have already commenced rescue mission.
Several reports noted that injured passengers were rushed to nearby hospital for medical attention, while bodies of deceased were reportedly deposited in the mogue.
