Founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners Chapel) Bishop David Oyedepo has revealed his commitment to building a thousand churches for God.
Oyedepo, who recounted his commitment during a recent sermon, told his congregation that he made the vow when he didn’t have a bank account.
According to him, he vowed to Jesus that he would build thousand of churches for his kingdom if he blessed him.
In his words, “Before I had the first bank account, I said, ‘Jesus, if you ever bless me, I want to be part of building new churches.
“I told Jesus, I don’t want to come to heaven without a thousand churches built in your name.”
The Bishop also urged his congregation to reflect on their dedication to God, saying some of them have “buses at home that they are not using to help other members come to church on Sunday”.
He noted that with the current price of fuel, if it’s not in their hearts, “go put it in your heart”.
He said that it’s important for the listeners to reflect on their spiritial responsibility.
“Over to you, you better wake up,” Oyedepo added. “Can I tell you something? Everybody’s a reflection of where he belongs. It’s time you start reflecting what happens in here.”
