The arrested native doctor from Enugu State, Obi Levi Obieze, aka Ezeani, has said he is innocent of the ritual killings.
Obieze, who is also known as ‘E dey play, e dey show’, denied being a native doctor and instead said he is a businessman who sells Okrika (used fashion wears).
Briefly.ng reported on Thursday that operatives of the Nigerian Immigration Service arrested him while he was trying to flee the country on a motorcycle.
The NIS confirmed that Obieze was arrested by the Service’s Lagos operatives at Gbaji checkpoint along Badagry-Seme Road.
The Enugu State Police Command declared him wanted after a kidnapped 13-year-old girl was found on his compound.
Further searches uncovered decomposed bodies of pregnant women in different soakaway pits on the premises.
When answering questions after being caught, Obieze blamed the President General of his community and said the bodies were planted in his soakaway pits..
In his words, “It’s a political issue, it’s something politics. Fabrication against me because I will be next of king and some people in my village don’t want me to be that next of king.
“So, they are painting evil against me, front and back, so that I can fall.
“Because of this kingship issue, they set me up. Someone that is working for them planted dead body in my soak away.”
