Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has reportedly agreed to personal terms with Al Hilal ahead of his potential move to the Saudi Pro League club.
Osimhen, 26, will be paid “$35 million (£29m/$40m) as a base rate over the course of his contract – topped up with add-ons”, according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri.
The striker, who spent last season on loan at Turkish side Galatasaray, winning the league title with the club and scoring 37 goals, has a year left on his contract with Napoli until 2026.
Napoli are believed to want around £65 million for the player but journalist Gianluca Di Marzio noted that Al Hilal’s best offer would be £59 million.
The Serie A side are keen on selling the Nigerian striker and may be forced to cash in on the offer since Osimhen could leave as a free agent when his contract expires in June 2026.
Despite ousting Osimhen and selling Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to Paris Saint-Germain, the club won the Serie A title ahead of Inter Milan last season.
Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia were instrumental to Napoli winning their first league title in 33 years, winning Serie A Best Striker and Most Valuable Player awards, respectively, during the 2022-23 season.
