President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday departed Lagos for Abuja after spending 13 days in the state.
During his stay in Lagos, he participated in the Golden Jubilee of the anniversary of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), celebrated the 2025 Eid-el-Kabir festival, and allegedly reconciled with the Governor of the State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
According to the Punch Newspaper, Tinubu’s plane landed at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport at exactly 2:10pm before departng to the International Conference Centre for the inaguaration of the newly rehabilitated facility.
Reports also emerged that Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, who oversaw the rehabilitation project, renamed it after the President to Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre.
Nanes of other halls in the facility were also remaned after top political officers such as the Vice President Kashim Shettima and the Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
Some were also named after the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, and the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Kekere-Ekun.
