A chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party, Segun Sowunmi, has said that President Bola Tinubu is political smarter than his rivals, including Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi of the Labour Party.
He made the remarks during his appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today programme on Monday.
According to him, Tinubu use more than one method to resolve issues, unlike his rivals..
Sowunmi, who was Atiku’s spokesperson in the 2023 general election, noted that his alliance is not tied to any politicians and his meeting with the President should not be interpreted as betrayal of the former Vice President.
In his words, “I am at liberty as an adult to take decisions. I’m not tied to anybody. I’m not anti-Tinubu. I own my mouth, I own my words, and I own my arguments.
“Do you know the difference between (President Tinubu) and them? He doesn’t have one approach to dealing with everybody. By miles, he (the President) is smarter than them. He is smarter than Peter Obi, he is smarter than them.”
Sowunmi is not the only former Atiku spokesperson who has praised Tinubu, in November 2024, Daniel Bwala dumped the PDP to work for the President.
Bwala was appointed as Special Sfboser to the President on Policy Communication after he met Tinubu at Aso Rock.
