The Nigeria Police Force has arrested a 14-year-old girl after she staged an abduction of herself and her four-year-old sister in Katsina State.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who disclosed this at the Force Headquarters in Abuja, the incident also involved three other individuals, aged 25, 19, and 16.
ACP Muyiwa noted that the case was reported to the Katsina Police Command on Febuary 20, 2025.
He added that after investigation, the 14-year-old resurfaced and confesses to staging the abduction adding that all the suspects have been arrested.
In a statement, ACP Muyiwa said, “In Katsina State, operatives of the Command acting on a complaint received on February 20, 2025, from one Alhaji Badamasi Bala of Madaci Yan Nono Quarters have cracked a disturbing case of kidnapping involving a 14-year-old girl and her 4-year-old sister.
“Four months later, the older sister resurfaced and, upon further investigations, she confessed to staging the kidnapping and conspiring with three accomplices, aged 25, 19, and 16, respectively.
“All suspects have been arrested, and the four-year-old sister have been rescued unhurt.”
