Founder of House of the Roch Church, Pastor Paul Adefarasin has dismissed claim that he held a firearm during a recent encounter with a passenger in Lagos traffic.
Adefarasin, in a video that was making the rounds on social media earlier this week, could be seen holding a metellic object during an encounter with a passenger who filmed him.
The video quickly went viral on social media with many users alleging he was in possession of a gun.
Adefarasin, however, in a message to his congregation, said he was not brandishing a firearm and had no time did he pointed it at anyone.
“You might be aware of a video (making the rounds) on social media showing me in what some have misunderstood as brandishing a firearm,” he said. “I want to assure you — that was certainly not a firearm, and at no point did I point such at anyone.”
Adefarasin admits to knowing the cause the video may have brought the followers of the church and promised to “speak brofly to this mischief during the 9:00 a.m. service” on Sunday.
He urged the public to remain calm and not fall for “misinformation or sensationalism” regarding the video.
