The Olu of Epe Kingdom, Oba Shefiu Adewale, died on Saturday morning and will be laid to rest on the same day.
Oba Adewale, who was the 19th ruler of the Epe Kingdom, died at age 86 and will be buried at 4pm today, May 31, 2025, in accordance with the Islamic rites.
The late monarch previously served as the Otun Balogun (the third-highest chief in the land), was then promoted to the position of Balogun, and subsequently crowned the 19th king of the Epe Kingdom.
He also worked as an official of the government.
He served as the Director of Administration in the Ministry of Education, and as a Executive Secretary at the Ministry of Lands.
