Columbian striker Luis Diaz says he is happy at Liverpool and would like to continue his football career with the Premier League champions.
Diaz, 28, who played a pivotal role in Liverpool’s 20th Premier League title win, was linked with a move to Barcelona and Al Nassr.
Despite Barca’s financial constraint, the Pa Liga champions are keen on strethening their attacking front and are considering hiring the services of the Columbian forward.
The Saudi Pro League giant have also shown interest in Diaz. The club wants to sign a new striker in case Cristiano Eonaldo leaves and have gotten Diaz on their radar as a replacement.
However, during a recent interview with Liverpool website, Diaz said he’s having good period and wants to continue playing on the red side of Merseyside.
In his words, “I feel I’m going through a really good period. I’m really happy to be here, to be part of this great institution, this great club and to have great team-mates around me. From the moment I arrived.”
Liverpool have already begun the recruitment of new players to strengthen their squad following Trent Alexander-Arnold’s departure to Real Madrid.
The Reds have confirmed a deal with Bayer Leverkusen to sign Jeremie Frimpong and are also close on signing German midfielder Florian Wirtz.
