The Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, on Friday slammed the critics of President Bola Tinubu, saying foreign community have expressed confidence in his reforms.
Umahi, who made the remarks during interaction with journalists in Abuja, said Tinubu’s administration has performed better than past governments.
According to him, Tinubu’s reforms are reasons the administration is getting support to embark on projects.
“President Tinubu may not be perfect, but he is doing most things right,” the Minister said. “Look at where he picked up the economy from.
“The international community has confidence in his reforms. That is why we are getting support for our projects.”
He said the southeast will support the president’s re-election in 2027 and noted that his administration has embarked on road rehabilitation works and other infrastructure developments abandoned by previous administrations.
The Minister challenged critics of the president to disclose their contribution to the country.
“Let those criticising the President show us what they have done for the country,” Umahi added.
He dismissed claim that South Easterners were marginalised in federal appointment, adding that Tinubu did more for the region than part administrations.
On his political ambition, he said, “I will not run. I will work for my boss, President Tinubu. APC is the path to achieving what we want.
“The South East now has a voice at the centre. We will not return to Egypt.”
