Brentford have reportedly rejected a £55 million transfer offer from Manchester United to sign forward Bryan Mbeumo.

According to Sky Sports, Brentford’s value for Mbeumo stands around £60 million and they are open to selling the Brazilian if a worthy offer presented.

The outlet also reported that United’s total package for the player is £45 million in guarantees plus £10 million in bonuses.

Mbeumo, 25, who is currently on international duty with Brazil, is expected to finalise his move which is subjected to visa and registration once he returns to the United Kingdom.

The Brazilian forward helped the Bees to finish in the top half of the Premier League last season.

He also scored 20 goals and provided seven assists in the league last season.

Only three players scored more:
Goals than him – Liverpool’s Mohammed Salah with 29, Newscaster striker Alexander Isak with 23, and Manchester City’s Erling Haaland with 22.

United head coach Ruben Amorim is keen to strengthen the squad after guiding the club to finish 17th in the league and going trophyless.

Matheus Cunha is close to signing for the Red Devils and captain Bruno Fernandes is staying at Old Trafford.

Amorim is focusing on domestic league next season as the club won’t be playing in any European competition.
